Village-Winery

Village Winery – 40405 Browns Lane, Waterford, VA 20197

Village Winery is small farm winery with ten acres of vineyards is located just outside the town of Waterford. The winery is housed in a restored farm building next to a large, old bank barn. Village Winery wines are crafted entirely by hand and are aged in French oak barrels; producing: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Viognier, Merlot Cabernet blend, Apple Wine, Raspberry & Apple Wine, Apple, Raspberry & Elderberry Wine, along with a few non-alcoholic specialties.

The tours are offered for free and the tasting room is a suggested $5. Both are open from Saturday from 11:00am-6:00pm & Sunday from 12:00am-6:00pm.

Barrel-Oak-Winery

Barrel Oak Winery – 3623 Grove Lane, Delaplane, VA 20144

Barrel Oak Winery rests in the beautiful Piedmont countryside and is a special place where hand-crafted Virginia Wine pairs with friends and family. Visitors can find fun in exploration, relaxation and conversation while enjoying any of the many delicious wines BOW proudly ferments.

The tasting room is open from Sunday-Thursday from 11:00am-6:00pm and  Friday & Saturday from 11:00am-9:00pm. Cost is $10.00 for tastings. Dates and times for tours vary.

Stone-Tower-Winery

Stone Tower Winery – 19925 Hogback Mountain Road, Leesburg, VA 20175

Located in Loudoun County on a beautiful 206-acre property, with 22-acres of planted grapes; the vineyard produces Bordeaux Varietals, including: Chardonnay, Voignier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Stone Tower Winery offers an engaging and enthusiastic tour of the estate vineyards where visitors will taste the wines and have discussions about building high caliber wines from the vineyard.

The tasting room is open from Thursday-Monday from 11:00am-5:30pm. Cost is $10.00 for private tastings (groups of 8 and under only)and $25 for tours and tastings.

Boordy-Vineyards

Boordy Vineyards – 12820 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD 21082

The oldest of Maryland’s wineries, Boordy Vineyards is nestled in the Long Green valley of northeastern Baltimore County. Boordy offers three series of wines: The Landmark Series, Icons of Maryland, and the Just for Fun series. Wine tastings are held in Boordy’s historic 19th-century fieldstone barn, and tours of the vineyards, barrel room and state-of-the-art winemaking facility are offered daily.

Tours are offered at 2:00pm & 3:30pm daily and can be combined with either their Traditional Tasting for $5.00 or Landmark Tasting for $15.00. The tasting room is open Monday-Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Black-Ankle-Vineyards

Black Ankle Vineyards – 14463 Black Ankle Road, Mt Airy, MD 21771

Black Ankle Vineyards is situated in the beautiful rolling hills of Maryland, perfectly suited to yield wines of great complexity, subtlety and nuance. Truly great wine comes only from a truly great vineyard and Black Ankle is confident that the mix of soils, climate, grape varieties, viticulture, personal commitment, and a bit of magic is the right formula for wonderful wines.

The tastings are available Friday from 12:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday from 12:00pm-6:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00pm-5:00pm for $8.00. Complimentary vineyard and winery tours are conducted every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00pm
